BATHYMETRIC MAPPING iMAP™ has developed a unique process to create a complete 3-Dimensional map of nearly any body of water. These underwater technology maps are incredibly accurate and can be completed in a relatively short period of time. Frequent uses for these maps include: sedimentation control, volume calculation, recreation maps, habitat and ecology management, water treatment, irrigation, and watershed management. THE PROCESS GPS and sonar equipment have been integrated to provide underwater data collection. This system provides a location (x,y) and depth (z) every second. After the data has been collected for the entire body of water, the data is imported into a customized software program. This program provides volume and area calculations, contour lines, 3D viewing, and fly-through capabilities. The unique process used to derive this information is the quickest, most accurate and cost-effective way available today.
